About
The Space to Create.
A working artist's studio, teaching space, and gallery on Vancouver Island.
Island Girl Art Studio is the space where Penny creates and works daily as a professional artist. Within its walls is an area dedicated to teaching classes and workshops, though Penny has also taught on location around the world.
Penny has spent 40 years creating curriculum, programs, and teaching in private, public, and independent schools, community centres, corporate wellness settings, retreat environments, and her own studio.
The Nanaimo studio has its own kind of magic: a place where students are free to create, explore, and learn in a supportive atmosphere, surrounded by an artist's tools, materials, training, and experience.
